handicaper AU DIFFERENCES
From either at the very beginning of hivebent/sgrub or just before. Same as canon, just genderflipped and going by my headcanon that male trolls are generally not AS dangerous and scary as ladytrolls and are more prone to being self-loathing or woobies or kind of pathetic.
Vriska <=>Varkis
Can't use his legs at all. He's just as snarky, but not actually as violent or homicidal as his female counterpart since he hasn't had to be. His lusus, being a male spider, is much smaller (maybe horse-sized) and therefore doesn't need to be fed nearly so often, and will often settle for regular ol' beasts instead of delicious young trolls. He's slightly more paranoid and self-loathing since he has to worry about getting culled nowadays, so most of his scheming and conniving have been funneled into his continued existence rather than murderplots. It helps immensely to imagine he is wanted to hang because he is a fearsome pirate wanted by the League of Legislacerators for his numerous pir8ty crimes, but really he's just an embarrassment to the cerulean-bloods.
He still has the Cue Ball, which is probably the only reason he's still alive.

Not crippled! Feels terrible about what she did in perfectly justifiable self-defense, so she helps Varkis hunt down beasts to feed his dad. He hasn't actually killed another troll since his accident.

Probably pretty much the same.
Sollux <=>
Maybe still with man-Aradia since Varkis never manipul8ted her into killing her boyfriend or anything.

Not really involved in all of this drama.
Feferi <=>

Eridan <=> Eridna
Varkis's first kismesis, it was kind of a flop since Eridna was way too bloodthirsty for his tastes honestly. Not refined at all!
Equius <=>
A very STRONG lady that was nice enough to install an elevator in Varkis's stair-plagued hive.

Lady-Equisus' furrsome furriend.
